Lots of great walks in Odda<\/h3>

Aside from the fantastic trip to Trolltunga, Odda can offer many exciting hikes. Experience the valley of waterfalls, with the twin waterfall L\u00e5tefoss as the star of the valley. Take the trip up to the Buerbreen glacier in Buer. You can also climb mountains such as Rossnos, Eidesnuten, and Tokheimsnuten with the fantastic views these have to offer.<\/p> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Kano<\/h3>

Follow Oddadalen and experience the valley of waterfalls. A fantastic waterfall landscape, created by the glacier, between Hardangervidda and Folgefonna national parks. On the way you pass Strandsfoss, Tj\u00f8dnadalsfossen, Vidfoss, Hildalsfossen, Espelandsfossen and the most famous of the waterfalls, L\u00e5tefoss.<\/p>\n

Experience Buerdalen, a beautiful, wild and lush valley nestled between sheer mountain sides. You follow the blue-green glacial river until you stand at the foot of a stunning world of blue hues and majestic mountains at the end of the narrow Buerdalen valley.<\/p>\n

Try canoeing on the idyllic Lake Sandvinsvatnet. Here there are many lovely bays to paddle into. On the trip you have a panoramic view of the Buerbreen glacier to the west, the Tj\u00f8dnadalsfossen and Strandsfossen waterfalls and the Oddadalen valley winding southwards towards the Seljestadfjellene mountains and R\u00f8ldal.<\/p> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Norwegian Museum of Hydro Power and Industry<\/h3>

Experience the beginning of the Norwegian industrial adventure at the Norwegian Museum of Hydropower and Industry. On 20 April 1906, Aktieselskabet Tyssefaldene was founded in engineer Sam Eyde's office in Kristiania.<\/p>\n

The basis for the power development in Tyssedal was the water-rich waterfalls from the nearby mountain plateau of Hardangervidda and the establishment of power-intensive industry by the fjord. On 15 June 1906, Tyssefaldene entered into an agreement for the delivery of 20,000 hp from 1 May 1908 for a period of 30 years to The Sun Gas Co. Ltd. and their carbide factory in Odda.<\/p> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
